Last-Minute Gift Ideas from Village Green

Spread the love

gift ideas aIf you are still looking for unique and natural gift ideas for the special people in your life, come in to Village Green Apothecary to see what we have to offer. We have something for everyone on your list, from the beauty lover to the tea lover.

For the tea lover: With names like Get Happy and Get Relaxed, teas from Republic of Tea are a tasty and warm gift to give. Or try Double Dark Chocolate Mate, a special dessert tea for the chocolate lover on your list. Pair a tin of tea with a beautiful antique tea cup and tea strainer for a lovely gift for the tea lover.

For the bath lover: Dry skin brushing is a great way to stimulate circulation and good health. Baudelaire bath brushes are perfect for that purpose. They are made of cedar wood and 100% boar bristle. To dry brush, start at your feet and brush upward toward the heart. Then move on to your arms, beginning at the hands and working upward. Use firm, small strokes upwards, or work in a small, circular motion. For the stomach, work in a counterclockwise pattern.

After dry brushing, shower with one of many lovely bar soaps, such as those by Dr. Bronner’s, in lavender, almond, rose and peppermint scents. If you prefer a body wash, try Green Tea Essence Castile Body Wash by Virginia First Tea Farm, whose products are American-made, all-natural, fully vegan and never tested on animals.

After cleansing, moisturize your skin with a body oil like this one from Dr. Hauschka, one of my personal favorites.

For the aromatherapy lover: This mini diffuser from Spa Room, combined with a variety of essential oils from Plant Therapy, makes a wonderful gift for the person who sits at a desk all day. Plant Therapy has created a special line to help balance the 7 major chakras of your natural energy system via the Chakras Set. Chakras are subtle energy centers, located along the spine in ascending order from base to crown, that intersect with our mind, body and spirit. Use these essential oil synergies when you want to incorporate self-balancing rituals into your self-care routine.

Garden of Life offers the perfect starter kit for those who want to try aromatherapy. Free of GMOs, this kit has four essential oils: lavender (calming), peppermint (energizing), lemon (joyful) and tea tree (cleansing).

For the beauty and makeup lover: One of our most popular lines is Inika, which  offers beautiful makeup products made from100% natural ingredients, certified cruelty-free with Australia’s Choose Cruelty Free organization. One of my favorites is their lip and cheek cream, a light formula that combines hydration and protection with long-lasting color for a beautiful, natural finish on both lips and cheeks.

Virtue Skinfood Calm and Tranquil Kit is another option that includes everything to get you on your way to glowing, healthy skin. To learn more about Virtue SkinFood, read this.
