A study in the journal Psychological Science has found that your approach to life may help cut your stress during life’s tricky situations.
The study investigated the potential benefits of smiling by looking at how different types of smiling, and the awareness of smiling, affects a person’s ability to recover from episodes of stress.
The team found smiling could indeed influence our physical state, lowering heart rate levels after stressful activities. This was found to be the case even when the smile was forced.
Here are some other tips to help with stress. Although these tips are targeted for stress in the workplace, many of them can be applied to everyday stressors.
